CVE-2019-11460 | 1 Gnome | 1 Gnome-desktop | 2024-11-21 | N/A |
An issue was discovered in GNOME gnome-desktop 3.26, 3.28, and 3.30 prior to 3.30.2.2, and 3.32 prior to 3.32.1.1. A compromised thumbnailer may escape the bubblewrap sandbox used to confine thumbnailers by using the TIOCSTI ioctl to push characters into the input buffer of the thumbnailer's controlling terminal, allowing an attacker to escape the sandbox if the thumbnailer has a controlling terminal. This is due to improper filtering of the TIOCSTI ioctl on 64-bit systems, similar to CVE-2019-10063.
CVE-2019-11190 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 3 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Extras Rt | 2024-11-21 | N/A |
The Linux kernel before 4.8 allows local users to bypass ASLR on setuid programs (such as /bin/su) because install_exec_creds() is called too late in load_elf_binary() in fs/binfmt_elf.c, and thus the ptrace_may_access() check has a race condition when reading /proc/pid/stat.
CVE-2019-11085 | 2 Intel, Redhat | 9 I915, I915 Firmware, Enterprise Linux and 6 more | 2024-11-21 | N/A |
Insufficient input validation in Kernel Mode Driver in Intel(R) i915 Graphics for Linux before version 5.0 may allow an authenticated user to potentially enable escalation of privilege via local access.
CVE-2019-10168 | 1 Redhat | 10 Advanced Virtualization, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Desktop and 7 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.8 High |
The virConnectBaselineHypervisorCPU() and virConnectCompareHypervisorCPU() libvirt APIs, 4.x.x before 4.10.1 and 5.x.x before 5.4.1, accept an "emulator" argument to specify the program providing emulation for a domain. Since v1.2.19, libvirt will execute that program to probe the domain's capabilities. Read-only clients could specify an arbitrary path for this argument, causing libvirtd to execute a crafted executable with its own privileges.
CVE-2019-10167 | 1 Redhat | 10 Advanced Virtualization, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Desktop and 7 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.8 High |
The virConnectGetDomainCapabilities() libvirt API, versions 4.x.x before 4.10.1 and 5.x.x before 5.4.1, accepts an "emulatorbin" argument to specify the program providing emulation for a domain. Since v1.2.19, libvirt will execute that program to probe the domain's capabilities. Read-only clients could specify an arbitrary path for this argument, causing libvirtd to execute a crafted executable with its own privileges.
CVE-2019-10147 | 1 Redhat | 1 Rkt | 2024-11-21 | 7.7 High |
rkt through version 1.30.0 does not isolate processes in containers that are run with `rkt enter`. Processes run with `rkt enter` are not limited by cgroups during stage 2 (the actual environment in which the applications run). Compromised containers could exploit this flaw to access host resources.
CVE-2019-10145 | 1 Redhat | 1 Rkt | 2024-11-21 | 7.7 High |
rkt through version 1.30.0 does not isolate processes in containers that are run with `rkt enter`. Processes run with `rkt enter` do not have seccomp filtering during stage 2 (the actual environment in which the applications run). Compromised containers could exploit this flaw to access host resources.
CVE-2019-10144 | 1 Redhat | 1 Rkt | 2024-11-21 | 7.7 High |
rkt through version 1.30.0 does not isolate processes in containers that are run with `rkt enter`. Processes run with `rkt enter` are given all capabilities during stage 2 (the actual environment in which the applications run). Compromised containers could exploit this flaw to access host resources.
CVE-2019-10143 | 3 Fedoraproject, Freeradius, Redhat | 3 Fedora, Freeradius, Enterprise Linux | 2024-11-21 | 7.0 High |
It was discovered freeradius up to and including version 3.0.19 does not correctly configure logrotate, allowing a local attacker who already has control of the radiusd user to escalate his privileges to root, by tricking logrotate into writing a radiusd-writable file to a directory normally inaccessible by the radiusd user. NOTE: the upstream software maintainer has stated "there is simply no way for anyone to gain privileges through this alleged issue."
CVE-2019-0204 | 2 Apache, Redhat | 3 Mesos, Fuse, Jboss Fuse | 2024-11-21 | 7.8 High |
A specifically crafted Docker image running under the root user can overwrite the init helper binary of the container runtime and/or the command executor in Apache Mesos versions pre-1.4.x, 1.4.0 to 1.4.2, 1.5.0 to 1.5.2, 1.6.0 to 1.6.1, and 1.7.0 to 1.7.1. A malicious actor can therefore gain root-level code execution on the host.
CVE-2018-8897 | 8 Apple, Canonical, Citrix and 5 more | 19 Mac Os X, Ubuntu Linux, Xenserver and 16 more | 2024-11-21 | N/A |
A statement in the System Programming Guide of the Intel 64 and IA-32 Architectures Software Developer's Manual (SDM) was mishandled in the development of some or all operating-system kernels, resulting in unexpected behavior for #DB exceptions that are deferred by MOV SS or POP SS, as demonstrated by (for example) privilege escalation in Windows, macOS, some Xen configurations, or FreeBSD, or a Linux kernel crash. The MOV to SS and POP SS instructions inhibit interrupts (including NMIs), data breakpoints, and single step trap exceptions until the instruction boundary following the next instruction (SDM Vol. 3A; section 6.8.3). (The inhibited data breakpoints are those on memory accessed by the MOV to SS or POP to SS instruction itself.) Note that debug exceptions are not inhibited by the interrupt enable (EFLAGS.IF) system flag (SDM Vol. 3A; section 2.3). If the instruction following the MOV to SS or POP to SS instruction is an instruction like SYSCALL, SYSENTER, INT 3, etc. that transfers control to the operating system at CPL < 3, the debug exception is delivered after the transfer to CPL < 3 is complete. OS kernels may not expect this order of events and may therefore experience unexpected behavior when it occurs.
CVE-2018-8853 | 1 Philips | 8 Brilliance Ct Big Bore, Brilliance Ct Big Bore Firmware, Brilliance 64 and 5 more | 2024-11-21 | N/A |
Philips Brilliance CT devices operate user functions from within a contained kiosk in a Microsoft Windows operating system. Windows boots by default with elevated Windows privileges, enabling a kiosk application, user, or an attacker to potentially attain unauthorized elevated privileges in Brilliance 64 version 2.6.2 and prior, Brilliance iCT versions 4.1.6 and prior, Brillance iCT SP versions 3.2.4 and prior, and Brilliance CT Big Bore 2.3.5 and prior. Also, attackers may gain access to unauthorized resources from the underlying Windows operating system.
CVE-2018-5413 | 1 Imperva | 1 Securesphere | 2024-11-21 | N/A |
Imperva SecureSphere running v13.0, v12.0, or v11.5 allows low privileged users to add SSH login keys to the admin user, resulting in privilege escalation.
CVE-2018-4183 | 1 Apple | 1 Mac Os X | 2024-11-21 | N/A |
In macOS High Sierra before 10.13.5, an access issue was addressed with additional sandbox restrictions.
CVE-2018-4182 | 1 Apple | 1 Mac Os X | 2024-11-21 | N/A |
In macOS High Sierra before 10.13.5, an access issue was addressed with additional sandbox restrictions on CUPS.
CVE-2018-1087 | 4 Canonical, Debian, Linux and 1 more | 16 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel and 13 more | 2024-11-21 | N/A |
kernel KVM before versions kernel 4.16, kernel 4.16-rc7, kernel 4.17-rc1, kernel 4.17-rc2 and kernel 4.17-rc3 is vulnerable to a flaw in the way the Linux kernel's KVM hypervisor handled exceptions delivered after a stack switch operation via Mov SS or Pop SS instructions. During the stack switch operation, the processor did not deliver interrupts and exceptions, rather they are delivered once the first instruction after the stack switch is executed. An unprivileged KVM guest user could use this flaw to crash the guest or, potentially, escalate their privileges in the guest.
CVE-2018-18883 | 1 Xen | 1 Xen | 2024-11-21 | N/A |
An issue was discovered in Xen 4.9.x through 4.11.x, on Intel x86 platforms, allowing x86 HVM and PVH guests to cause a host OS denial of service (NULL pointer dereference) or possibly have unspecified other impact because nested VT-x is not properly restricted.
CVE-2018-16888 | 4 Canonical, Netapp, Redhat and 1 more | 6 Ubuntu Linux, Active Iq Performance Analytics Services, Element Software and 3 more | 2024-11-21 | 4.7 Medium |
It was discovered systemd does not correctly check the content of PIDFile files before using it to kill processes. When a service is run from an unprivileged user (e.g. User field set in the service file), a local attacker who is able to write to the PIDFile of the mentioned service may use this flaw to trick systemd into killing other services and/or privileged processes. Versions before v237 are vulnerable.
CVE-2018-10892 | 4 Docker, Mobyproject, Opensuse and 1 more | 7 Docker, Moby, Leap and 4 more | 2024-11-21 | 5.3 Medium |
The default OCI linux spec in oci/defaults{_linux}.go in Docker/Moby from 1.11 to current does not block /proc/acpi pathnames. The flaw allows an attacker to modify host's hardware like enabling/disabling bluetooth or turning up/down keyboard brightness.
CVE-2018-10872 | 1 Redhat | 4 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Desktop, Enterprise Linux Server and 1 more | 2024-11-21 | N/A |
A flaw was found in the way the Linux kernel handled exceptions delivered after a stack switch operation via Mov SS or Pop SS instructions. During the stack switch operation, processor does not deliver interrupts and exceptions, they are delivered once the first instruction after the stack switch is executed. An unprivileged system user could use this flaw to crash the system kernel resulting in DoS. This CVE-2018-10872 was assigned due to regression of CVE-2018-8897 in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.10 GA kernel. No other versions are affected by this CVE. |
