| A Denial of Service vulnerability exists in the Binary File Descriptor (BFD) in GNU Binutils 2.35 due to an invalid read in process_symbol_table, as demonstrated in readeif. | ||||
| CVE-2020-16590 | 2 Gnu, Netapp | 2 Binutils, Ontap Select Deploy Administration Utility | 2024-11-21 | 5.5 Medium |
| A double free vulnerability exists in the Binary File Descriptor (BFD) (aka libbrd) in GNU Binutils 2.35 in the process_symbol_table, as demonstrated in readelf, via a crafted file. | ||||
| CVE-2020-15807 | 1 Gnu | 1 Libredwg | 2024-11-21 | 6.5 Medium |
| GNU LibreDWG before 0.11 allows NULL pointer dereferences via crafted input files. | ||||
| CVE-2020-15707 | 8 Canonical, Debian, Gnu and 5 more | 19 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Grub2 and 16 more | 2024-11-21 | 5.7 Medium |
| Integer overflows were discovered in the functions grub_cmd_initrd and grub_initrd_init in the efilinux component of GRUB2, as shipped in Debian, Red Hat, and Ubuntu (the functionality is not included in GRUB2 upstream), leading to a heap-based buffer overflow. These could be triggered by an extremely large number of arguments to the initrd command on 32-bit architectures, or a crafted filesystem with very large files on any architecture. An attacker could use this to execute arbitrary code and bypass UEFI Secure Boot restrictions. This issue affects GRUB2 version 2.04 and prior versions. | ||||
| CVE-2020-15706 | 7 Canonical, Debian, Gnu and 4 more | 18 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Grub2 and 15 more | 2024-11-21 | 6.4 Medium |
| GRUB2 contains a race condition in grub_script_function_create() leading to a use-after-free vulnerability which can be triggered by redefining a function whilst the same function is already executing, leading to arbitrary code execution and secure boot restriction bypass. This issue affects GRUB2 version 2.04 and prior versions. | ||||
| CVE-2020-15705 | 7 Canonical, Debian, Gnu and 4 more | 18 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Grub2 and 15 more | 2024-11-21 | 6.4 Medium |
| GRUB2 fails to validate kernel signature when booted directly without shim, allowing secure boot to be bypassed. This only affects systems where the kernel signing certificate has been imported directly into the secure boot database and the GRUB image is booted directly without the use of shim. This issue affects GRUB2 version 2.04 and prior versions. | ||||
| CVE-2020-15011 | 4 Canonical, Debian, Gnu and 1 more | 4 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Mailman and 1 more | 2024-11-21 | 4.3 Medium |
| GNU Mailman before 2.1.33 allows arbitrary content injection via the Cgi/private.py private archive login page. | ||||
| CVE-2020-14372 | 4 Fedoraproject, Gnu, Netapp and 1 more | 13 Fedora, Grub2, Cloud Backup and 10 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.5 High |
| A flaw was found in grub2 in versions prior to 2.06, where it incorrectly enables the usage of the ACPI command when Secure Boot is enabled. This flaw allows an attacker with privileged access to craft a Secondary System Description Table (SSDT) containing code to overwrite the Linux kernel lockdown variable content directly into memory. The table is further loaded and executed by the kernel, defeating its Secure Boot lockdown and allowing the attacker to load unsigned code. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality and integrity, as well as system availability. | ||||
| CVE-2020-14311 | 4 Canonical, Gnu, Opensuse and 1 more | 11 Ubuntu Linux, Grub2, Leap and 8 more | 2024-11-21 | 5.7 Medium |
| There is an issue with grub2 before version 2.06 while handling symlink on ext filesystems. A filesystem containing a symbolic link with an inode size of UINT32_MAX causes an arithmetic overflow leading to a zero-sized memory allocation with subsequent heap-based buffer overflow. | ||||
| CVE-2020-14310 | 4 Canonical, Gnu, Opensuse and 1 more | 11 Ubuntu Linux, Grub2, Leap and 8 more | 2024-11-21 | 5.7 Medium |
| There is an issue on grub2 before version 2.06 at function read_section_as_string(). It expects a font name to be at max UINT32_MAX - 1 length in bytes but it doesn't verify it before proceed with buffer allocation to read the value from the font value. An attacker may leverage that by crafting a malicious font file which has a name with UINT32_MAX, leading to read_section_as_string() to an arithmetic overflow, zero-sized allocation and further heap-based buffer overflow. | ||||
| CVE-2020-14309 | 3 Gnu, Opensuse, Redhat | 7 Grub2, Leap, Enterprise Linux and 4 more | 2024-11-21 | 6.7 Medium |
| There's an issue with grub2 in all versions before 2.06 when handling squashfs filesystems containing a symbolic link with name length of UINT32 bytes in size. The name size leads to an arithmetic overflow leading to a zero-size allocation further causing a heap-based buffer overflow with attacker controlled data. | ||||
| CVE-2020-14308 | 3 Gnu, Opensuse, Redhat | 7 Grub2, Leap, Enterprise Linux and 4 more | 2024-11-21 | 6.4 Medium |
| In grub2 versions before 2.06 the grub memory allocator doesn't check for possible arithmetic overflows on the requested allocation size. This leads the function to return invalid memory allocations which can be further used to cause possible integrity, confidentiality and availability impacts during the boot process. | ||||
| CVE-2020-14150 | 1 Gnu | 1 Bison | 2024-11-21 | 5.5 Medium |
| GNU Bison before 3.5.4 allows attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash). NOTE: there is a risk only if Bison is used with untrusted input, and an observed bug happens to cause unsafe behavior with a specific compiler/architecture. The bug reports were intended to show that a crash may occur in Bison itself, not that a crash may occur in code that is generated by Bison. | ||||
| CVE-2020-12137 | 6 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 3 more | 7 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 4 more | 2024-11-21 | 6.1 Medium |
| GNU Mailman 2.x before 2.1.30 uses the .obj extension for scrubbed application/octet-stream MIME parts. This behavior may contribute to XSS attacks against list-archive visitors, because an HTTP reply from an archive web server may lack a MIME type, and a web browser may perform MIME sniffing, conclude that the MIME type should have been text/html, and execute JavaScript code. | ||||
| CVE-2020-12108 | 6 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 3 more | 7 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 4 more | 2024-11-21 | 6.5 Medium |
| /options/mailman in GNU Mailman before 2.1.31 allows Arbitrary Content Injection. | ||||
| CVE-2020-10713 | 5 Debian, Gnu, Opensuse and 2 more | 10 Debian Linux, Grub2, Leap and 7 more | 2024-11-21 | 8.2 High |
| A flaw was found in grub2, prior to version 2.06. An attacker may use the GRUB 2 flaw to hijack and tamper the GRUB verification process. This flaw also allows the bypass of Secure Boot protections. In order to load an untrusted or modified kernel, an attacker would first need to establish access to the system such as gaining physical access, obtain the ability to alter a pxe-boot network, or have remote access to a networked system with root access. With this access, an attacker could then craft a string to cause a buffer overflow by injecting a malicious payload that leads to arbitrary code execution within GRUB. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality and integrity as well as system availability. | ||||
| CVE-2019-9924 | 6 Canonical, Debian, Gnu and 3 more | 12 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Bash and 9 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.8 High |
| rbash in Bash before 4.4-beta2 did not prevent the shell user from modifying BASH_CMDS, thus allowing the user to execute any command with the permissions of the shell. | ||||
| CVE-2019-9779 | 2 Gnu, Opensuse | 3 Libredwg, Backports Sle, Leap | 2024-11-21 | 7.5 High |
| An issue was discovered in GNU LibreDWG 0.7 and 0.7.1645. There is a NULL pointer dereference in the function dwg_dxf_LTYPE at dwg.spec (earlier than CVE-2019-9776). | ||||
| CVE-2019-9778 | 2 Gnu, Opensuse | 3 Libredwg, Backports Sle, Leap | 2024-11-21 | 7.5 High |
| An issue was discovered in GNU LibreDWG 0.7 and 0.7.1645. There is a heap-based buffer over-read in the function dwg_dxf_LTYPE at dwg.spec. | ||||
| CVE-2019-9777 | 2 Gnu, Opensuse | 3 Libredwg, Backports Sle, Leap | 2024-11-21 | 7.5 High |
| An issue was discovered in GNU LibreDWG 0.7 and 0.7.1645. There is a heap-based buffer over-read in the function dxf_header_write at header_variables_dxf.spec. | ||||
