CVE-2017-15357 1 Arqbackup 1 Arq 2025-04-20 N/A
The setpermissions function in the auto-updater in Arq before 5.9.7 for Mac allows local users to gain root privileges via a symlink attack on the updater binary itself.
CVE-2017-15038 1 Qemu 1 Qemu 2025-04-20 N/A
Race condition in the v9fs_xattrwalk function in hw/9pfs/9p.c in QEMU (aka Quick Emulator) allows local guest OS users to obtain sensitive information from host heap memory via vectors related to reading extended attributes.
CVE-2017-14317 1 Xen 1 Xen 2025-04-20 N/A
A domain cleanup issue was discovered in the C xenstore daemon (aka cxenstored) in Xen through 4.9.x. When shutting down a VM with a stubdomain, a race in cxenstored may cause a double-free. The xenstored daemon may crash, resulting in a DoS of any parts of the system relying on it (including domain creation / destruction, ballooning, device changes, etc.).
CVE-2014-9914 2 Google, Linux 2 Android, Linux Kernel 2025-04-20 7.8 High
Race condition in the ip4_datagram_release_cb function in net/ipv4/datagram.c in the Linux kernel before 3.15.2 allows local users to gain privileges or cause a denial of service (use-after-free) by leveraging incorrect expectations about locking during multithreaded access to internal data structures for IPv4 UDP sockets.
CVE-2016-3111 2 Pulpproject, Redhat 3 Pulp, Satellite, Satellite Capsule 2025-04-20 N/A
pulp.spec in the installation process for Pulp 2.8.3 generates the RSA key pairs used to validate messages between the pulp server and pulp consumers in a directory that is world-readable before later modifying the permissions, which might allow local users to read the generated RSA keys via reading the key files while the installation process is running.
CVE-2015-5191 2 Linux, Vmware 2 Linux Kernel, Tools 2025-04-20 N/A
VMware Tools prior to 10.0.9 contains multiple file system races in libDeployPkg, related to the use of hard-coded paths under /tmp. Successful exploitation of this issue may result in a local privilege escalation. CVSS:3.0/AV:L/AC:H/PR:L/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
CVE-2017-11823 1 Microsoft 2 Windows 10, Windows Server 2016 2025-04-20 N/A
The Microsoft Device Guard on Microsoft Windows 10 Gold, 1511, 1607, and 1703, and Windows Server 2016 allows a security feature bypass by the way it handles Windows PowerShell sessions, aka "Microsoft Windows Security Feature Bypass".
CVE-2017-5899 1 S-nail Project 1 S-nail 2025-04-20 N/A
Directory traversal vulnerability in the setuid root helper binary in S-nail (later S-mailx) before 14.8.16 allows local users to write to arbitrary files and consequently gain root privileges via a .. (dot dot) in the randstr argument.
CVE-2017-15884 1 Hashicorp 1 Vagrant Vmware Fusion 2025-04-20 N/A
In HashiCorp Vagrant VMware Fusion plugin (aka vagrant-vmware-fusion) 5.0.0, a local attacker or malware can silently subvert the plugin update process in order to escalate to root privileges.
CVE-2017-1000367 2 Redhat, Sudo Project 3 Enterprise Linux, Rhel Els, Sudo 2025-04-20 N/A
Todd Miller's sudo version 1.8.20 and earlier is vulnerable to an input validation (embedded spaces) in the get_process_ttyname() function resulting in information disclosure and command execution.
CVE-2017-11049 1 Google 1 Android 2025-04-20 N/A
In Android for MSM, Firefox OS for MSM, QRD Android, with all Android releases from CAF using the Linux kernel, in a video driver, a race condition exists which can potentially lead to a buffer overflow.
CVE-2017-11045 1 Google 1 Android 2025-04-20 N/A
In Android for MSM, Firefox OS for MSM, QRD Android, with all Android releases from CAF using the Linux kernel, in a camera driver function, a race condition exists which can lead to a Use After Free condition.
CVE-2017-10915 1 Xen 1 Xen 2025-04-20 N/A
The shadow-paging feature in Xen through 4.8.x mismanages page references and consequently introduces a race condition, which allows guest OS users to obtain Xen privileges, aka XSA-219.
CVE-2017-10913 1 Xen 1 Xen 2025-04-20 N/A
The grant-table feature in Xen through 4.8.x provides false mapping information in certain cases of concurrent unmap calls, which allows backend attackers to obtain sensitive information or gain privileges, aka XSA-218 bug 1.
CVE-2017-11025 1 Google 1 Android 2025-04-20 N/A
In android for MSM, Firefox OS for MSM, QRD Android, with all Android releases from CAF using the Linux kernel, due to a race condition in the function audio_effects_shared_ioctl(), memory corruption can occur.
CVE-2016-4984 2 Openldap, Redhat 2 Openldap-servers, Enterprise Linux 2025-04-20 N/A
/usr/libexec/openldap/generate-server-cert.sh in openldap-servers sets weak permissions for the TLS certificate, which allows local users to obtain the TLS certificate by leveraging a race condition between the creation of the certificate, and the chmod to protect it.
CVE-2017-15951 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-04-20 7.8 High
The KEYS subsystem in the Linux kernel before 4.13.10 does not correctly synchronize the actions of updating versus finding a key in the "negative" state to avoid a race condition, which allows local users to cause a denial of service or possibly have unspecified other impact via crafted system calls.
CVE-2016-3106 1 Pulpproject 1 Pulp 2025-04-20 N/A
Pulp before 2.8.3 creates a temporary directory during CA key generation in an insecure manner.
CVE-2017-11353 1 Yadm Project 1 Yadm 2025-04-20 N/A
yadm (yet another dotfile manager) 1.10.0 has a race condition (related to the behavior of git commands in setting permissions for new files and directories), which potentially allows access to SSH and PGP keys.
CVE-2017-1000405 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-04-20 7.0 High
The Linux Kernel versions 2.6.38 through 4.14 have a problematic use of pmd_mkdirty() in the touch_pmd() function inside the THP implementation. touch_pmd() can be reached by get_user_pages(). In such case, the pmd will become dirty. This scenario breaks the new can_follow_write_pmd()'s logic - pmd can become dirty without going through a COW cycle. This bug is not as severe as the original "Dirty cow" because an ext4 file (or any other regular file) cannot be mapped using THP. Nevertheless, it does allow us to overwrite read-only huge pages. For example, the zero huge page and sealed shmem files can be overwritten (since their mapping can be populated using THP). Note that after the first write page-fault to the zero page, it will be replaced with a new fresh (and zeroed) thp.
