CVE | Vendors | Products | Updated | CVSS v3.1 |
---|---|---|---|---|
CVE-2017-2636 | 3 Debian, Linux, Redhat | 9 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux and 6 more | 2025-04-20 | 7.0 High |
Race condition in drivers/tty/n_hdlc.c in the Linux kernel through 4.10.1 allows local users to gain privileges or cause a denial of service (double free) by setting the HDLC line discipline. | ||||
CVE-2017-2671 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 4 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Mrg and 1 more | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
The ping_unhash function in net/ipv4/ping.c in the Linux kernel through 4.10.8 is too late in obtaining a certain lock and consequently cannot ensure that disconnect function calls are safe, which allows local users to cause a denial of service (panic) by leveraging access to the protocol value of IPPROTO_ICMP in a socket system call. | ||||
CVE-2017-2898 | 1 Meetcircle | 2 Circle With Disney, Circle With Disney Firmware | 2025-04-20 | 7.5 High |
An exploitable vulnerability exists in the signature verification of the firmware update functionality of Circle with Disney. Specially crafted network packets can cause an unsigned firmware to be installed in the device resulting in arbitrary code execution. An attacker can send a series of packets to trigger this vulnerability. | ||||
CVE-2017-0794 | 1 Google | 1 Android | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
A elevation of privilege vulnerability in the Upstream kernel scsi driver. Product: Android. Versions: Android kernel. Android ID: A-35644812. | ||||
CVE-2017-6408 | 1 Veritas | 2 Netbackup, Netbackup Appliance | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
An issue was discovered in Veritas NetBackup 8.0 and earlier and NetBackup Appliance 3.0 and earlier. A local-privilege-escalation race condition in pbx_exchange can occur when a local user connects to a socket before permissions are secured. | ||||
CVE-2017-1000111 | 3 Debian, Linux, Redhat | 11 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux and 8 more | 2025-04-20 | 7.8 High |
Linux kernel: heap out-of-bounds in AF_PACKET sockets. This new issue is analogous to previously disclosed CVE-2016-8655. In both cases, a socket option that changes socket state may race with safety checks in packet_set_ring. Previously with PACKET_VERSION. This time with PACKET_RESERVE. The solution is similar: lock the socket for the update. This issue may be exploitable, we did not investigate further. As this issue affects PF_PACKET sockets, it requires CAP_NET_RAW in the process namespace. But note that with user namespaces enabled, any process can create a namespace in which it has CAP_NET_RAW. | ||||
CVE-2017-2501 | 1 Apple | 4 Iphone Os, Mac Os X, Tvos and 1 more | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
An issue was discovered in certain Apple products. iOS before 10.3.2 is affected. macOS before 10.12.5 is affected. tvOS before 10.2.1 is affected. watchOS before 3.2.2 is affected. The issue involves the "Kernel" component. A race condition allows attackers to execute arbitrary code in a privileged context via a crafted app. | ||||
CVE-2017-1000405 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux | 2025-04-20 | 7.0 High |
The Linux Kernel versions 2.6.38 through 4.14 have a problematic use of pmd_mkdirty() in the touch_pmd() function inside the THP implementation. touch_pmd() can be reached by get_user_pages(). In such case, the pmd will become dirty. This scenario breaks the new can_follow_write_pmd()'s logic - pmd can become dirty without going through a COW cycle. This bug is not as severe as the original "Dirty cow" because an ext4 file (or any other regular file) cannot be mapped using THP. Nevertheless, it does allow us to overwrite read-only huge pages. For example, the zero huge page and sealed shmem files can be overwritten (since their mapping can be populated using THP). Note that after the first write page-fault to the zero page, it will be replaced with a new fresh (and zeroed) thp. | ||||
CVE-2017-0343 | 2 Microsoft, Nvidia | 2 Windows, Gpu Driver | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
All versions of the NVIDIA Windows GPU Display Driver contain a vulnerability in the kernel mode layer (nvlddmkm.sys) where user can trigger a race condition due to lack of synchronization in two functions leading to a denial of service or potential escalation of privileges. | ||||
CVE-2017-0462 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
An elevation of privilege vulnerability in the Qualcomm Seemp driver could enable a local malicious application to execute arbitrary code within the context of the kernel. This issue is rated as High because it first requires compromising a privileged process. Product: Android. Versions: Kernel-3.18. Android ID: A-33353601. References: QC-CR#1102288. | ||||
CVE-2016-9962 | 2 Docker, Redhat | 2 Docker, Rhel Extras Other | 2025-04-20 | 7.5 High |
RunC allowed additional container processes via 'runc exec' to be ptraced by the pid 1 of the container. This allows the main processes of the container, if running as root, to gain access to file-descriptors of these new processes during the initialization and can lead to container escapes or modification of runC state before the process is fully placed inside the container. | ||||
CVE-2017-9676 | 1 Google | 1 Android | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
In all Qualcomm products with Android releases from CAF using the Linux kernel, potential use after free scenarios and race conditions can occur when accessing global static variables without using a lock. | ||||
CVE-2017-9703 | 1 Google | 1 Android | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
In Android for MSM, Firefox OS for MSM, QRD Android, with all Android releases from CAF using the Linux kernel, a race condition in a Camera driver can lead to a Use After Free condition. | ||||
CVE-2017-9708 | 1 Google | 1 Android | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
In Android for MSM, Firefox OS for MSM, QRD Android, with all Android releases from CAF using the Linux kernel, in the camera driver, the function "msm_ois_power_down" is called without a mutex and a race condition can occur in variable "*reg_ptr" of sub function "msm_camera_config_single_vreg". | ||||
CVE-2017-9677 | 1 Google | 1 Android | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
In all Qualcomm products with Android releases from CAF using the Linux kernel, in function msm_compr_ioctl_shared, variable "ddp->params_length" could be accessed and modified by multiple threads, while it is not protected with locks. If one thread is running, while another thread is setting data, race conditions will happen. If "ddp->params_length" is set to a big number, a buffer overflow will occur. | ||||
