CVE-2024-5742 | 2 Gnu, Redhat | 2 Nano, Enterprise Linux | 2025-07-05 | 6.7 Medium |
A vulnerability was found in GNU Nano that allows a possible privilege escalation through an insecure temporary file. If Nano is killed while editing, a file it saves to an emergency file with the permissions of the running user provides a window of opportunity for attackers to escalate privileges through a malicious symlink.
CVE-2025-0678 | 2 Gnu, Redhat | 4 Grub2, Enterprise Linux, Openshift and 1 more | 2025-07-05 | 7.8 High |
A flaw was found in grub2. When reading data from a squash4 filesystem, grub's squash4 fs module uses user-controlled parameters from the filesystem geometry to determine the internal buffer size, however, it improperly checks for integer overflows. A maliciously crafted filesystem may lead some of those buffer size calculations to overflow, causing it to perform a grub_malloc() operation with a smaller size than expected. As a result, the direct_read() will perform a heap based out-of-bounds write during data reading. This flaw may be leveraged to corrupt grub's internal critical data and may result in arbitrary code execution, by-passing secure boot protections.
CVE-2023-4527 | 4 Fedoraproject, Gnu, Netapp and 1 more | 32 Fedora, Glibc, H300s and 29 more | 2025-06-24 | 6.5 Medium |
A flaw was found in glibc. When the getaddrinfo function is called with the AF_UNSPEC address family and the system is configured with no-aaaa mode via /etc/resolv.conf, a DNS response via TCP larger than 2048 bytes can potentially disclose stack contents through the function returned address data, and may cause a crash.
CVE-2024-56737 | 1 Gnu | 1 Grub2 | 2025-06-24 | 8.8 High |
GNU GRUB (aka GRUB2) through 2.12 has a heap-based buffer overflow in fs/hfs.c via crafted sblock data in an HFS filesystem.
CVE-2024-56738 | 1 Gnu | 1 Grub2 | 2025-06-24 | 5.3 Medium |
GNU GRUB (aka GRUB2) through 2.12 does not use a constant-time algorithm for grub_crypto_memcmp and thus allows side-channel attacks.
CVE-2024-36600 | 1 Gnu | 1 Libcdio | 2025-06-20 | 8.4 High |
Buffer Overflow Vulnerability in libcdio v2.1.0 allows an attacker to execute arbitrary code via a crafted ISO 9660 image file.
CVE-2024-33599 | 4 Debian, Gnu, Netapp and 1 more | 20 Debian Linux, Glibc, H300s and 17 more | 2025-06-18 | 8.1 High |
nscd: Stack-based buffer overflow in netgroup cache If the Name Service Cache Daemon's (nscd) fixed size cache is exhausted by client requests then a subsequent client request for netgroup data may result in a stack-based buffer overflow. This flaw was introduced in glibc 2.15 when the cache was added to nscd. This vulnerability is only present in the nscd binary.
CVE-2024-33600 | 4 Debian, Gnu, Netapp and 1 more | 27 Debian Linux, Glibc, Active Iq Unified Manager and 24 more | 2025-06-18 | 5.9 Medium |
nscd: Null pointer crashes after notfound response If the Name Service Cache Daemon's (nscd) cache fails to add a not-found netgroup response to the cache, the client request can result in a null pointer dereference. This flaw was introduced in glibc 2.15 when the cache was added to nscd. This vulnerability is only present in the nscd binary.
CVE-2024-33601 | 4 Debian, Gnu, Netapp and 1 more | 25 Debian Linux, Glibc, H300s and 22 more | 2025-06-18 | 7.3 High |
nscd: netgroup cache may terminate daemon on memory allocation failure The Name Service Cache Daemon's (nscd) netgroup cache uses xmalloc or xrealloc and these functions may terminate the process due to a memory allocation failure resulting in a denial of service to the clients. The flaw was introduced in glibc 2.15 when the cache was added to nscd. This vulnerability is only present in the nscd binary.
CVE-2024-33602 | 4 Debian, Gnu, Netapp and 1 more | 23 Debian Linux, Glibc, Element Software and 20 more | 2025-06-18 | 7.4 High |
nscd: netgroup cache assumes NSS callback uses in-buffer strings The Name Service Cache Daemon's (nscd) netgroup cache can corrupt memory when the NSS callback does not store all strings in the provided buffer. The flaw was introduced in glibc 2.15 when the cache was added to nscd. This vulnerability is only present in the nscd binary.
CVE-2023-6780 | 3 Fedoraproject, Gnu, Redhat | 3 Fedora, Glibc, Enterprise Linux | 2025-06-17 | 5.3 Medium |
An integer overflow was found in the __vsyslog_internal function of the glibc library. This function is called by the syslog and vsyslog functions. This issue occurs when these functions are called with a very long message, leading to an incorrect calculation of the buffer size to store the message, resulting in undefined behavior. This issue affects glibc 2.37 and newer.
CVE-2024-0553 | 3 Fedoraproject, Gnu, Redhat | 6 Fedora, Gnutls, Enterprise Linux and 3 more | 2025-06-17 | 7.5 High |
A vulnerability was found in GnuTLS. The response times to malformed ciphertexts in RSA-PSK ClientKeyExchange differ from the response times of ciphertexts with correct PKCS#1 v1.5 padding. This issue may allow a remote attacker to perform a timing side-channel attack in the RSA-PSK key exchange, potentially leading to the leakage of sensitive data. CVE-2024-0553 is designated as an incomplete resolution for CVE-2023-5981.
CVE-2024-29399 | 1 Gnu | 1 Savane | 2025-06-17 | 7.6 High |
An issue was discovered in GNU Savane v.3.13 and before, allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code and escalate privileges via a crafted file to the upload.php component.
CVE-2025-6141 | 1 Gnu | 1 Ncurses | 2025-06-17 | 3.3 Low |
A vulnerability has been found in GNU ncurses up to 6.5-20250322 and classified as problematic. This vulnerability affects the function postprocess_termcap of the file tinfo/parse_entry.c. The manipulation leads to stack-based buffer overflow. The attack needs to be approached locally. Upgrading to version 6.5-20250329 is able to address this issue. It is recommended to upgrade the affected component.
