CVE-2022-50072 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-06-23 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NFSv4/pnfs: Fix a use-after-free bug in open If someone cancels the open RPC call, then we must not try to free either the open slot or the layoutget operation arguments, since they are likely still in use by the hung RPC call.
CVE-2022-50093 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-06-23 4.1 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommu/vt-d: avoid invalid memory access via node_online(NUMA_NO_NODE) KASAN reports: [ 4.668325][ T0] BUG: KASAN: wild-memory-access in dmar_parse_one_rhsa (arch/x86/include/asm/bitops.h:214 arch/x86/include/asm/bitops.h:226 include/asm-generic/bitops/instrumented-non-atomic.h:142 include/linux/nodemask.h:415 drivers/iommu/intel/dmar.c:497) [ 4.676149][ T0] Read of size 8 at addr 1fffffff85115558 by task swapper/0/0 [ 4.683454][ T0] [ 4.685638][ T0] CPU: 0 PID: 0 Comm: swapper/0 Not tainted 5.19.0-rc3-00004-g0e862838f290 #1 [ 4.694331][ T0] Hardware name: Supermicro SYS-5018D-FN4T/X10SDV-8C-TLN4F, BIOS 1.1 03/02/2016 [ 4.703196][ T0] Call Trace: [ 4.706334][ T0] <TASK> [ 4.709133][ T0] ? dmar_parse_one_rhsa (arch/x86/include/asm/bitops.h:214 arch/x86/include/asm/bitops.h:226 include/asm-generic/bitops/instrumented-non-atomic.h:142 include/linux/nodemask.h:415 drivers/iommu/intel/dmar.c:497) after converting the type of the first argument (@nr, bit number) of arch_test_bit() from `long` to `unsigned long`[0]. Under certain conditions (for example, when ACPI NUMA is disabled via command line), pxm_to_node() can return %NUMA_NO_NODE (-1). It is valid 'magic' number of NUMA node, but not valid bit number to use in bitops. node_online() eventually descends to test_bit() without checking for the input, assuming it's on caller side (which might be good for perf-critical tasks). There, -1 becomes %ULONG_MAX which leads to an insane array index when calculating bit position in memory. For now, add an explicit check for @node being not %NUMA_NO_NODE before calling test_bit(). The actual logics didn't change here at all. [0] https://github.com/norov/linux/commit/0e862838f290147ea9c16db852d8d494b552d38d
CVE-2022-50151 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-06-23 4.7 Medium

CVE-2022-50117 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-06-23 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vfio: Split migration ops from main device ops vfio core checks whether the driver sets some migration op (e.g. set_state/get_state) and accordingly calls its op. However, currently mlx5 driver sets the above ops without regards to its migration caps. This might lead to unexpected usage/Oops if user space may call to the above ops even if the driver doesn't support migration. As for example, the migration state_mutex is not initialized in that case. The cleanest way to manage that seems to split the migration ops from the main device ops, this will let the driver setting them separately from the main ops when it's applicable. As part of that, validate ops construction on registration and include a check for VFIO_MIGRATION_STOP_COPY since the uAPI claims it must be set in migration_flags. HISI driver was changed as well to match this scheme. This scheme may enable down the road to come with some extra group of ops (e.g. DMA log) that can be set without regards to the other options based on driver caps.
CVE-2022-50115 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-06-23 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ASoC: SOF: ipc3-topology: Prevent double freeing of ipc_control_data via load_bytes We have sanity checks for byte controls and if any of the fail the locally allocated scontrol->ipc_control_data is freed up, but not set to NULL. On a rollback path of the error the higher level code will also try to free the scontrol->ipc_control_data which will eventually going to lead to memory corruption as double freeing memory is not a good thing.
CVE-2022-50168 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-06-23 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf, x86: fix freeing of not-finalized bpf_prog_pack syzbot reported a few issues with bpf_prog_pack [1], [2]. This only happens with multiple subprogs. In jit_subprogs(), we first call bpf_int_jit_compile() on each sub program. And then, we call it on each sub program again. jit_data is not freed in the first call of bpf_int_jit_compile(). Similarly we don't call bpf_jit_binary_pack_finalize() in the first call of bpf_int_jit_compile(). If bpf_int_jit_compile() failed for one sub program, we will call bpf_jit_binary_pack_finalize() for this sub program. However, we don't have a chance to call it for other sub programs. Then we will hit "goto out_free" in jit_subprogs(), and call bpf_jit_free on some subprograms that haven't got bpf_jit_binary_pack_finalize() yet. At this point, bpf_jit_binary_pack_free() is called and the whole 2MB page is freed erroneously. Fix this with a custom bpf_jit_free() for x86_64, which calls bpf_jit_binary_pack_finalize() if necessary. Also, with custom bpf_jit_free(), bpf_prog_aux->use_bpf_prog_pack is not needed any more, remove it. CVE-2022-50088 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-06-23 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/damon/reclaim: fix potential memory leak in damon_reclaim_init() damon_reclaim_init() allocates a memory chunk for ctx with damon_new_ctx(). When damon_select_ops() fails, ctx is not released, which will lead to a memory leak. We should release the ctx with damon_destroy_ctx() when damon_select_ops() fails to fix the memory leak.
CVE-2023-26604 3 Debian, Redhat, Systemd Project 5 Debian Linux, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Els and 2 more 2025-06-20 7.8 High
systemd before 247 does not adequately block local privilege escalation for some Sudo configurations, e.g., plausible sudoers files in which the "systemctl status" command may be executed. Specifically, systemd does not set LESSSECURE to 1, and thus other programs may be launched from the less program. This presents a substantial security risk when running systemctl from Sudo, because less executes as root when the terminal size is too small to show the complete systemctl output.

CVE-2023-6129 2 Openssl, Redhat 2 Openssl, Enterprise Linux 2025-06-20 6.5 Medium
Issue summary: The POLY1305 MAC (message authentication code) implementation contains a bug that might corrupt the internal state of applications running on PowerPC CPU based platforms if the CPU provides vector instructions. Impact summary: If an attacker can influence whether the POLY1305 MAC algorithm is used, the application state might be corrupted with various application dependent consequences. The POLY1305 MAC (message authentication code) implementation in OpenSSL for PowerPC CPUs restores the contents of vector registers in a different order than they are saved. Thus the contents of some of these vector registers are corrupted when returning to the caller. The vulnerable code is used only on newer PowerPC processors supporting the PowerISA 2.07 instructions. The consequences of this kind of internal application state corruption can be various - from no consequences, if the calling application does not depend on the contents of non-volatile XMM registers at all, to the worst consequences, where the attacker could get complete control of the application process. However unless the compiler uses the vector registers for storing pointers, the most likely consequence, if any, would be an incorrect result of some application dependent calculations or a crash leading to a denial of service. The POLY1305 MAC algorithm is most frequently used as part of the CHACHA20-POLY1305 AEAD (authenticated encryption with associated data) algorithm. The most common usage of this AEAD cipher is with TLS protocol versions 1.2 and 1.3. If this cipher is enabled on the server a malicious client can influence whether this AEAD cipher is used. This implies that TLS server applications using OpenSSL can be potentially impacted. However we are currently not aware of any concrete application that would be affected by this issue therefore we consider this a Low severity security issue.

ModSecurity is an open source, cross platform web application firewall (WAF) engine for Apache, IIS and Nginx. Versions up to and including 2.9.8 are vulnerable to denial of service in one special case (in stable released versions): when the payload's content type is `application/json`, and there is at least one rule which does a `sanitiseMatchedBytes` action. A patch is available at pull request 3389 and expected to be part of version 2.9.9. No known workarounds are available.
CVE-2022-50190 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-06-20 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: spi: Fix simplification of devm_spi_register_controller This reverts commit 59ebbe40fb51 ("spi: simplify devm_spi_register_controller"). If devm_add_action() fails in devm_add_action_or_reset(), devm_spi_unregister() will be called, it decreases the refcount of 'ctlr->dev' to 0, then it will cause uaf in the drivers that calling spi_put_controller() in error path.
